History

My dream plant! She's called Queen because she is by far my biggest plant - despite being a relatively small monstera. Prices for var. monsteras recently dropped into 'reasonable' territory for the first time in years so I treated myself to one :]

From the size and the damages of the oldest leaves, I believe it's a propagated cutting from a much, much older monstera. The leaves are massive so I'm really hoping the light in my room will be enough to sustain her growth!

For a while I thought there was evidence that she had thrips which, frankly, would've been devastating given that I did not quarantine her — but since I can't see any actual Thrips on the plant, and the newest leaf is pristine, I think all the damage is historical. (At least that's what I'm banking on!)
